Passport or Mugshot?

Passport or mugshot?I've come to the realization that the passport clerks must take the same photography class as the guys at the DMV.

Anyway, I'm now "official" and ready to go to Canada for TODCON. What is it about a Passport that makes you feel <hick>bona-fiiiide</hick>. Is it that we see Bond walking around with one, or is it just seeing our pictures on an official government document that other countries recognize.

You had to get a passport to go to Canada? Or is it just more convenient?

I talked to the passport clerk, and she said that the Eastern areas of Canada are more French speaking, and because of the tiffs between France and the US lately they've been much more strict about passport requirements for US citizens visiting Canada. I thought it was odd myself, as I'd always considered Canada similar to Mexico in the regard that US citizens can generally move back and forth over the border without consequence
