Calendar success?

I found a freebie calendar script on ASP101 that didn't have any database connectivity, and hacked it up to add my own. I was having issues with any solution that already had a database attached, as their db schema was different than what I was using. Ended up being easier to add my own hooks in there.

Anywho, if you have comments on the calendar, I'd love to hear them. You can filter by Month, Week or Day by clicking the appropriate link. Pretty slick if I do say so myself.

The calendar is currently hidden in the Ashleep style, simply because I'm not sure how I want to place it yet.

very nice. you'll definitely have a blog with features worth offering to others... So, are you going to sell it or offer it for free (or shareware)? Do you have the back-end interface all coded as a web-interface too?

I'm not sure on price point or even whether I'll distribute it at this point. I'm currently about halfway through the admin interface build. Admin screenshots have been published. If it never gets distributed, I'll at least have the best damn managed blog anywhere :).

btw, you said your blog app is all done in Dreamweaver MX... any idea how difficult it would be to use without DWMX? Like, perhaps in HomeSite?

Wouldn't be hard, more and more of this is getting handcoded anyhow.

ok, one more note: I particularly like your idea on the calendar of having the whole week options off on the right. handy. oh, and selecting a whole month has a bug. It changes the skin to the bright yellow one.

Thanks :) Changing to a month filter shouldn't have any effect on the color scheme. Not sure why that's happening, as everything is independent in this case.

The Week filter is a little wonky. For example, clicking the week line for this week should also include Sept. 29 & 30.

Good catch. Got it fixed now. Is wonky a technical term?

Wonky? Oh yes, very technical. ;-) Its my made up acronym for: Weird Occurrance Not Known Yet
